Aker BP has awarded Allseas a call-off for removal and disposal of multiple installations in the Valhall area in the Norwegian North Sea from 2021 to 2026.

Aker BP operates the Valhall field with 80% stake while the remaining 10% interest is held by Pandion Energy. The Valhall Flank West receives power from shore through the Valhall field centre. As per estimates, the Valhall Flank West has recoverable reserves of around 60 million barrels of oil equivalent based on the drilling of six production wells.

Four wells have started producing so far. The remainder are expected to start up through the year. Removal of the QP topsides is the first job for Pioneering Spirit under the frame agreement which Allseas signed with Aker BP in 2017 to provide transport, installation and removal services for the Valhall field. The QP topside will be transported to- and disposed at the Kvaerner disposal yard at Stord.
